About
YetAnotherFace is 3D illustration style. YetAnotherFace is a brand name for 3D work of Petra Stefankova.
Initial lighting setup, which has been then adjusted for individual scenes, was provided by Roman Vrbovsky.
At the very beginning there was an idea to translate surrealist automatic drawings by Petra Stefankova that she has produced since 1999 and bring them into another dimension. The method of automatic drawing refers to the old surrealist technique known since the beginning
of the 20th century.
First four artworks came up as a series, where the composition and content were strictly led by subconscious reactions. The final stage of building the shapes in the CGI form was controlled to achieve a visually interesting and balanced image.
Petra Stefankova is an award-winning illustrator, art director, Fellow of Royal Society of Arts in London and Channel 4's 4Talent Award winner and New York's Creative Quarterly winner.
